The Scream Tour I (2001) was the first-ever national tour for then-14-year-old rapper Lil' Bow Wow. The tour followed the massive success of his debut album, Beware of Dog, and established him as a teen idol.
Lil' Bow Wow headlined this tour. The tour kicked off in the spring of 2001 (April/May) and played sold-out venues across the United States.
His energetic set featured stunts, dancers, and fan interaction. For example, during songs like "Ghetto Girls" and "Puppy Love," he often brought girls from the audience onto the stage to sing to them personally.
While the lineup varied from one edition to the next, later editions of the Scream Tour (such as Scream Tour II in 2002) became known for the addition of the boy band B2K. The tour became an iconic concert series for the hip-hop and R&B culture of the early 2000s. Bow Wow now co-owns the "Scream Tour" brand.
